One of my favorite things to hear after a facial is: no products, no makeup, and you’re already glowing with less redness. To protect that Luxe Lift Facial result, my biggest rule for the first 48 hours is simple: avoid heavy sweat and high heat (hard workouts, sauna, hot tubs, long hot showers). Here in Denver, add one more non-negotiable: daily broad-spectrum SPF and extra hydration, even when it’s cool out.
0 to 48 hours after your Luxe Lift Facial: the rules that keep your skin calm
Luxe Lift is a 60-minute, results-focused facial that uses targeted techniques and products to firm, smooth, and revive the look of aging skin. Right after, your skin tends to feel fresh and soft, and that’s exactly the feeling I want you to keep.
Do this (today)
- Keep it gentle: a mild cleanser and lukewarm water tonight.
- Hydrate like it’s your job: a simple hydrating serum and a light barrier cream are usually plenty.
- Use broad-spectrum SPF in the morning. Denver’s high-altitude sun is sneaky, even on cloudy days.
- Sleep on a clean pillowcase and keep your hands off your face.
Skip this (first 24 to 48 hours)
- No intense exercise that makes you sweat heavily. If you love a City Park run or hot yoga, plan it before your appointment or wait 24 to 48 hours.
- No sauna, hot tub, steam room, or long hot showers. Heat can keep redness hanging around longer than it needs to.
- Avoid heavy makeup for 12 to 24 hours unless I tell you otherwise. If you do wear makeup, keep it light and keep your brushes clean.
- Don’t pick, scrub, or “test” your smoothness with rough towels.
Quick Denver tip: If you have to be outside along East Colfax, around City Park, or running errands in Park Hill, reapply SPF and consider a hat. Sun plus post-facial sensitivity is not a fun combo.
Days 3 to 7: keep the glow, don’t trigger redness
A lot of people love how their skin looks right away, especially that clean, even look and the “I didn’t even need makeup” glow. The first week is about not stirring things up while your skin settles into that smoother, firmer feel.
What I want you doing all week
- Stay consistent with gentle cleansing and hydration morning and night.
- Use SPF every single morning. If you’re in Denver and you drive a lot, you’re still getting sun exposure.
- Keep workouts moderate if your skin flushes easily. Light movement is fine. I just don’t want heavy heat and sweat right away.
What to avoid (usually 3 to 7 days)
I generally recommend skipping the “actives” that can sting or peel while your skin is feeling extra receptive.
- Pause retinoids and exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA) for 3 to 7 days.
- Skip scrubs, cleansing brushes, and rough washcloth exfoliation.
- Hold off on booking a chemical peel right away unless I’ve guided you on timing. Same goes for searching “peels near me” and jumping into something impulsively.
The simple product routine I recommend after Luxe Lift (no overthinking)
After Luxe Lift, your skin usually does best with a short routine. I love results, but I don’t love throwing ten new things at your face at once.
Your 3-step lineup
- Gentle cleanser (no gritty scrub texture).
- Hydrating serum like hyaluronic acid or glycerin-based hydration.
- Moisturizer + mineral SPF in the morning. Mineral SPF is often a good match when skin is feeling a little sensitive.
If you’re acne-prone or reactive, let me know what you’re using at home. I’ll tell you what to pause and what to keep so you don’t lose your progress trying a trending product two days after your appointment.
And if you found me by searching “facials near me” or “facial spa near me, ” this is a big part of why people stay. I take the time to explain the why, so your results last past the parking lot.
When to text or call me after your facial (and when it’s totally normal)
Mild pinkness, a little tightness, and that fresh, smooth feeling are common right after a Luxe Lift. Most people settle quickly, especially when they keep things gentle and skip heat and actives.
Reach out if you notice
- Redness that looks intense or keeps getting worse after 24 hours.
- Swelling that doesn’t calm down over 24 to 48 hours.
- Severe discomfort, burning, or anything that feels “off” for your skin.

If you’re in City Park West, Park Hill, Aurora, Glendale, Edgewater, Lakewood, Englewood, or Thornton, it’s easy to swing by for a quick check-in if I want to see something in person. Off-peak parking along East Colfax is usually the easiest, and I’ll always tell you the simplest next step. If you’re planning your next skin treatment near me search, I also keep a running list of options based on your goals, including anti-aging support, a radiance facial for events, and the right timing if a chemical peel is on your radar.
You can also explore our facials in City Park West and Park Hill to compare what fits your skin best.
If you’re planning your appointment around workouts and sun, here’s my Denver-friendly tip
A lot of my regulars are busy and active. If you’re someone who’s in and out of City Park, commuting, or juggling childcare, book your Luxe Lift at a time when you can stay cool afterward. Early morning or later evening tends to make aftercare easier, because you’re not fighting midday sun or squeezing in a sweat session right after.
